The Union County Employees Federal Credit Union is seeking Credit Union members as candidates for:

Member of Board of Directors – There are three Board seats up for election. Three Board seats are for three year terms.

Responsibilities:

  • development of policy;
  • planning and direction;
  • financial oversight;
  • attendance at monthly meetings;
  • participation on subcommittees.

We are also looking for individuals who would like to be considered for a position on the Supervisory Committee, to be appointed by the Board.

Responsibilities of Supervisory Committee:

  • conduct of annual audit;
  • verification of loan documentation;
  • oversight on compliance regulations;
  • response to member concerns;
  • attendance at monthly meetings;
  • participation on subcommittees.

Election as a Board member or appointment as a Supervisory Committee member requires the commitment of personal time to meet the responsibilities of the office. Members generally spend 10 to 15 hours per month meeting these responsibilities.

Candidates interested in either position must submit a “Letter of Intent” to the Credit Union Office on the third floor of the Courthouse Tower Building or via email to uccreditunion@ucnj.org no later than Friday, February 8, 2013.

The names of the candidates for the Board of Directors will be posted in the Credit Union Office and on our website by Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Elections are scheduled for Tuesday, February 19, 2013, between 2-5 at the 1st floor conference room in the Ruotolo Building at 32 Rahway Avenue. Look for the results in the CU office or on our website.
